Since my kids started Melbourne Christian Co Op in the fall when they first opened, they have looked forward to going to school each day. It has been a perfect transition from our homeschool life to just 3 days a week of school outside of our home.
It has felt so refreshing for me to have help educating them and they are enjoying the small classes settings and not an overwhelming amount of material. The leadership team is always accessible and easy to communicate with. The teachers are just an email away.
I love that we can still live our homeschool life, take work on the road and then jump back in the classroom. I appreciate the flexibility. It is also helping me pace their work and keeps us on track. It is a safe place for them to learn and grow. Thank you all for your part in this hybrid school journey! What an opportunity!
We could not be more grateful to have found Melbourne Christian Co-op. We were part of a similar model school for many years and were so excited when one opened in our own neighborhood. Not only did it make our commute easier, but it also gave our son the opportunity to build friendships with children who live close to us. While we were nervous about transitioning him since he was doing so well in his previous program, we truly felt led to make the switch and oh my goodness, I am so glad we did.
From the very beginning, we have been so impressed with the teachers and staff and the care they take to truly know each child. Our son has continued to thrive in this environment, and we are especially thankful for the opportunity he has had to work ahead in math. At the start of the year, the teachers worked diligently to ensure each student was placed appropriately for core subjects so they could be met exactly where they are and set on a clear path forward.
Our family has truly been blessed by this community, their love for Jesus, and their desire to see children blossom in an educational environment. Feedback is well received and thoughtfully implemented, the teachers are happy to be there, and it genuinely feels like a partnership. We are so thankful for Melbourne Christian Co-op and look forward to many more years of learning and growing together.
We are incredibly grateful for Melbourne Christian Co-op and the way they welcomed us. We made the decision to pull our daughter out of her previous school at the end of October after a challenging start to the year, and the co-op graciously accommodated her.
From day one, everyone was so kind, welcoming, and supportive. They truly went above and beyond—having a desk, materials, and everything she needed ready for her first day, even though the transition happened at the last minute. Most importantly, they made her feel safe, seen, and at home.
After such a challenging start to the school year, the love and care shown to our daughter meant more to us than we can put into words. We are truly thankful for the teachers, leadership, and families at Melbourne Christian Co-op for creating such a Christ-centered, nurturing environment. This community has been a blessing to our family.
Thank you Mel, Amanda and Erik!
I attended an open house and had the opportunity to speak individually with the founders of Melbourne Christian Co-Op. After my interactions with the staff and the information available on their website, I have committed to partnering with the school. As a parent of four, I have experience with public and private schools, homeschooling, and cooperatives. I have prayed for a hybrid school that allows my husband and me to remain the primary instructors while having a supportive community alongside us. Despite the saturation of options in our area, I had not found what we were looking for until discovering this new school. They meet all our needs. I appreciate how receptive they are to parent input and their commitment to helping each child individually, rather than expecting them to fit into a one-size-fits-all mold.
My youngest daughter has never gone to traditional school and has been homeschooled since K. She is begging to go to school and after much prayer, this feels like the right place to send her. I tried to push back on several levels in my own head and heart and I keep getting a tug from God to send her.
I have spoken with Mel and Amanda and am excited to see their visions play out. The curricula are ones I have either used or have heard fantastic things about. The location is close to home and will all be remodeled! The a co-op will also be a direct pay for PEP, which is a huge plus! I am excited for the new opportunity!
