Nate and Melanie have been married for twenty years and have six children. Mel is from Australia and has lived in the US for 25 years. She and Nate met at college, and they have moved across the US for Nate's military career. Mel is a lawyer but has been working in education for the last seven years. She is currently a full time homeschooling mom since adopting their four youngest children.
We are passionate about creating a high quality Christian learning environment that will partner with and assist families in their homeschooling journey.
Erik and Amanda Hughes have been married for 16 years and have four children. They both from Brevard County, Florida, where they met during their middle school years. Amanda is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and has been working in that capacity for 12 years at local hospitals as well as being dedicated to PTA groups and interacting with families, fundraisers and volunteering with teachers.
Erik Hughes has been actively involved in Christian education boards, highlighting his commitment to community and education. He is a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse business portfolio that includes owning multiple local Anytime Fitness locations. Additionally, Erik has experience in both residential and commercial construction. His business acumen extends to the celebrity entertainment industry, where he has successfully booked talent for various events, speeches, and endorsements.
Their greatest hope for the Melbourne Christian Co-op is to create a nurturing environment that fosters both spiritual and academic growth for children.
Mrs. Guillaume holds a Master’s in Psychology from Lynn University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UCF. Since 2018, she has served in various roles including English and science teacher, academic coach, and family education facilitator—bringing a wealth of experience to the classroom. Most recently, she taught English at Wade

She brings not only academic excellence but a heart for ministry and mentorship. Her classroom will be rooted in faith, encouragement, and a deep commitment to seeing students grow both academically and spiritually.
